Negotiators Agree To Bipartisan Budget Deal
Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) and Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) announced on Tuesday evening that they have reached a tentative two-year budget agreement that will fund the government for 2014 at about $1 trillion a year while reducing the sequester cuts. Murray and Ryan's negotiations began as part of the deal that ended the government shutdown in October.
The proposed agreement -- which makes no cuts to Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, and does not increase taxes -- is already being opposed by Tea Party groups who want to keep the entire sequester in place.
Find out what else is in the deal.
